Coyote Racing Kart Team

kart racing
Coyote Racing (now changed to Kart Crazy Racing Dec 2011) was first formed in 2001 by Shaun, to compete in the National Motorcycle Endurance Championship. After a few seasons Shaun left to race with UpRite Racing in the same championship, but the team continued.

In 2006 Shaun re-joined Coyote Racing, however the team had morphed into Phoenix Endurance by then.

They went on to win the 2007 SuperStock 600 National Endurance championship, with Shaun setting the teams fastest laps in all the races.

At the end of 2007 Shaun retired from motorcycle racing.

Coyote Racing - The Return! - Although Shaun was successfully competing in the FDMC AutoSolos, coming 3rd over all in 2009 and winning class D in 2010 & 2011, he still had the bug for circuit racing. So in late 2010, with Jack his 7 year old son in tow, they set off to investigate Kart Racing and both where immediately hooked!
One month latter Shaun had agreed a price for a WTP powered Cadet Kart for Jack and had started putting together a reasonably competitive Rotax powered kart to compete in the Forest Edge 177 Masters championship. The "Masters" is for drivers over 35 years old!
In February 2011, after a couple of test seasons Shaun passed his ARKS test, so he was ready to race.
Unfortunately before Shaun's first race he found out the hard way why rib protectors are so important in kart racing. While practicing at Clay Pigeon he clipped a kerb, which resulted in tearing the muscles between his ribs. This injury takes a long time to heal. So before the season even started it was all over for Shaun.

February 2011 saw Jack hit the magic 7 1/2 years old, so he could go testing at Clay Pigeon in Dorset Jack picked up speed quickly and had a smile from ear to ear!.
