Water Temp. Sensor & Patch Lead

Short temp sensor that fits the standard MyChron long patch lead 

This allows the temp sensor to stay in the engine when it is removed from the chassis.

The sensor will fit all karts that use a 10mm fine or 1/8 NPT thread sizes, this includes Rotax, X30, KF1, KF2, KF3, KGP, ICC and karts that the sensor screws into the tee piece in the radiator hose.

NOTE - this has a 3 pin connector which fits MyChron 3, 4 & 5. It does not fit any of the MyChron 2T systems or some data hubs.

Installation Notes – The sensor has a tapered thread designed to fit in 10mm fine used as standard in karts. The thread is “self sealing” and will not screw all the way in.

Screw the sensor into its housing finger tight. Ensure the wire is not being twisted. Then tighten the sensor another 2 to 5 turns until it feels firm. Run the engine and check for a leak. If there is tighten another ½ turn.

A little PTFE tape can also help if needed.
DO NOT over tighten!
